The Department of Defense has identified 3,836 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:

CARVER, Cody M., 19, Pvt., Army; Haskell, Okla.; Third Infantry Division.

CROWELL, Thomas A., 36, Master Sgt., Air Force; Neosho, Mo.; Office of Special Investigations.

JENKINS, Rush M., 22, Pfc., Army; Clarksville, Tenn.; Third Infantry Division.

MCCALL, Daniel L., 24, Sgt., Army; Pace, Fla.; Third Infantry Division.

WIEGER, David A., 28, Staff Sgt., Air Force; North Huntingdon, Pa.; Office of Special Investigations.
